Equally at home in the choral ensemble and on the opera stage, Boston-based soprano Jennifer O’Brien graduated from Westminster Choir College, where she sang with the Grammy-nominated Westminster Williamson Voices. Recent roles include Amore/Valletto in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld, noted as “sultry” and “bored, despite having all… at her beck and call” (bigislandmusic.net). In the Boston area, she is an active choral artist with Trinity Church in Copley Square, and with the all-professional choir at King’s Chapel. She received a Master of Music from Boston Conservatory, studying with Kathryn Wright.

“Venus (Jennifer O’Brien) is sultry in red…and bored despite having all humankind (of the male variety) at her beck and call.”
